A note on Balmori Software article:

New circular from Philhealth affects payroll preparation anew

The change in reporting frequency imposed by Philhealth (Circular No. 9 Series of 2008) is already incorporated in Balmori Software's SURE! PayMaster Version 7.0, available right now. As long-time users know, SURE! PayMaster produces report RF-1 in both hardcopy and electronic forms.

Note: Balmori customers who obtain (or upgrade to) SURE! PayMaster Version 7.0 are also guaranteed a free upgrade to SURE! PayMaster Version 7.1. Version 7.1 will contain the major changes imposed by RA9504; it will be released as soon as the guidelines emerge from the BIR.

Note 2: We take this opportunity to inform our valued clients that, starting with Version 7.0, SURE! PayMaster uses a 32-bit architecture. The advantages of this new architecture are: (a) faster processing speed (one client installation experienced a fourfold increase in processing speed); (b) eliminates fear of obsolescence (when the widely anticipated day comes when major operating systems cease support for 16-bit software applications, that day will be a non-event for Balmori Software customers); and (c) easier, speedier installation procedure (uses the installation wizard approach).
