Balmori Software Inc. helps small and medium-sized enterprises reap the productivity and efficiency benefits promised by computer technology. Balmori designs business software specifically for the non-technical, lay user. Our products are able to do heavy-duty business tasks but at the same time are easy to use, easy to maintain, and inexpensive to operate, thereby empowering the small and medium enterprise to compete in a globalized economy.

Balmori Software believes in excellence in both the little things and the big things. We believe the only way to guarantee this is through competition. In helping our clients deploy our software solutions, Balmori Software also provides consultancy assistance in business process reengineering to help users get the full benefit of computerization.

1. INTEGRITY. Balmori Software values its reputation for integrity. In a nutshell, this means that in all dealings, we will treat customers, employees, dealers, and Sales Consultants with dignity, fairness, and high ethical standards. This is no hollow pledge; we back it up with written standards, written policies, and written process maps.

2. EASY-TO-USE SOFTWARE. Some people revere the idea of a bride's virginity on her wedding night. Other people cling ferociously to the concept of ethnic purity. Balmori Software feels the exact same fervor about the idea of easy-to-use software... which is to say, to a fault. Why is it important that a piece of software be easy to use? Very simple. If a software product is easy to use, it is easier to implement, and the customer can enjoy the benefits of computerization immediately. Furthermore, it’s a lot easier to live with once you’ve taken the plunge. For example, user turnover is never a crisis with easy-to-use software; training succeeding generations of users becomes an anxiety-free, disruption-free process.

3. LOW-MAINTENANCE SOFTWARE. Balmori Software deliberately designs its software products so that they require no after-sales support. We're betting that customers prefer a smoothly running software package to seeing our technicians’ unctuous faces at their offices every month, come to deal with yet another niggle. Therefore, we deliberately aim for a situation where the customer no longer needs us after investing in our product.

4. PACKAGED SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS. Balmori Software believes that packaged software solutions are without question better for our target market than customized software solutions. This goes counter to most people's instinctive attitudes, and therefore reflects a commercial stance of some courage. An important reason for our iconoclasm: Well-designed software packages thrive by responding to the criticisms, suggestions, and bug reports of thousands of customers through years of heavy-duty use. Hence packaged applications are much more likely to be refined, more evolved, and more reliable than software customized for just one user organization. Balmori offers packaged software solutions for small and medium-sized organizations. Our solutions are engineered in-house. We offer solutions for accounting, MIS, inventory control, POS, payroll, and in the specialized fields of insurance and real estate.

As a startup company back in August 1985, our first office was a villa on Balmori Street in San Lorenzo Village, Makati. (Streets in that community are named after Filipino artists - writers, composers, poets, sculptors. Jesus Balmori was a noted Fil-Hispanic writer, writing in Spanish, in the early decades of the twentieth century.) When it came time to incorporate, the founders were too modest (really) to name the company after themselves. Therefore, in the teeth of SEC registration deadlines, we picked the name of the street where we worked. There is an unintended aptness in all of this: Jesus Balmori wrote stories for a certain kind of Filipino sensibility; Balmori Software writes software code for today's Filipino man and woman of affairs.
